If you have questions that are not answered in the FAQ below, please contact me. If you're just wondering what the app is for, take a look at the product page.
Q: Help! I can’t find my photos!
A: Your photos won't show up in iPhoto or similar camera software. Instead you will have to transfer your photos using the iTunes File Sharing feature.
Q: What's this iTunes File Sharing thing?
A: iTunes File Sharing is a perhaps poorly-named feature in the desktop iTunes application that lets you transfer files to and from your device. First, make sure your computer has a recent version of iTunes installed. Next, connect your device to a USB port on the computer using its included charge/sync cable. Now (if it hasn’t started already) launch iTunes. You should see the name of your device in the list on the left of the iTunes window in the section labeled “Devices”. Click on it to select it.
Now you should see a horizontal list of categories just below the window’s tool bar. Click on the one labeled “Apps”. Then scroll all the way down in the main part of the iTunes window. You should see a section labeled “File Sharing”.
Click on FilePhoto in the Apps list to select it. You will now see any photos that you saved with FilePhoto listed on the right in the section labeled “FilePhoto Documents”. You can select any number of these files and click the “Save to…” button (Hint: Click holding the Shift key to select a range of photos, or the Ctrl (PC) or ⌘ (Mac) key to select multiple photos one at a time).
Q: Does my computer need to be synced to my device?
A: No. Unlike music, movies, books and apps, iTunes File Sharing does not require an iOS device to be synced with a computer to be able to transfer files to and from the device. So you can use your personal iPod to save files to your work computer, or save pictures from your friend's iPad to your laptop without hassle.
Q: I need my filenames to be in a special format. Can you create a custom form for me?
A: This app is designed around building custom forms that result in specially-formatted filenames. Please contact me with your requirements. Depending on the application, creating a white-label configuration of this app is also possible.
